Our client, a local roofing company had long-term goals to achieve but was struggling with manual tasks and inefficient processes. Having no IT department or depth of experience in large scale technology implementation, they needed a partner with process improvement and vendor selection expertise to help them overcome these difficulties.
Our team quickly and efficiently gathered requirements for the implementation of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system that would streamline and integrate various business processes across departments. These improvements would enhance operational efficiency and decision-making capabilities within the company.
We began by conducting a full IT assessment including stakeholders interviews to document sales, financial, and operational processes as well as evaluating existing systems. The processes we evaluated spanned their accounting, inside and outside sales, production, supplement, and repair departments.
After identifying problem areas, such as the use of manual spreadsheets and data entry, siloed information, and lack of real or near-time reporting capabilities, we documented requirements for the new ERP system. They relied on our team to interview and score potential vendors based on industry, business requirements, and budget specifications.
After narrowing choices to a promising shortlist, we scheduled platform demos and assisted with contract negotiations.
Choosing the right ERP system would enable our client to automating manual processes, mitigate invoice fraud, and improve forecasting and sales success rates.
Implementation of their chosen ERP system helped them improve forecasting accuracy, sales tracking capabilities, generate more qualified leads, improve internal and external communications, eliminate manual processes, and alleviate sales errors. They are now set up for enterprise scalability to support future growth and have the potential to increase revenue significantly.
