 James H. Clayton, III: Chairman
Professional Experience Jim founded InfoWorks in January 1997, and serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. He also served as President from 1997 until December 2008. Under Jim’s direction, InfoWorks has built a stellar reputation for outstanding client service and employee satisfaction, and, in 2006, company ownership was made available to all employees. Jim has balanced company growth with client satisfaction in a controlled manner that has completely avoided layoffs. His philosophy is that high employee morale leads to superior client satisfaction and he makes hiring decisions based on the integrity, aptitude and attitude of prospective employees. In 2008, 2009, and 2010, InfoWorks was named as the #1 Best Employer in Tennessee in the category of fewer than 250 employees by Business TN Magazine, and has been named one of the Best Places to Work in Nashville by the Nashville Business Journal for three years running.
Prior to forming InfoWorks, Jim spent 32 years with IBM in Nashville in various management and marketing positions. In his last position at IBM, he managed several Global Services consulting practices over a three-state area. Previous to that, he managed IBM’s business partner programs and distribution and healthcare clients.
Jim is very active in the Nashville community and currently serves on several boards.

Jim previously was President of the Board of Directors for Tennessee Special Olympics.
